Frequently Asked Questions.
1. Does it matter where I purchased my Power Equipment? You must have purchased your Husqvarna power equipment from an authorized Husqvarna retailer within the past two years and it has at least 30 days remaining on the manufacturer's original warranty period. In the event service is requested, you will be required to provide proof of purchase (copy of sales receipt). For other requirements, please refer to the "Eligibility" tab on this Web Site. 2. Where do I have to take my merchandise for repair? It depends on whether you chose a "carry-in" or "in-home" plan. If you chose a plan that has "carry-in" service, just give our 800 number a call and our service department will tell you where to take your merchandise for repair. If you chose a plan that is "in-home" just call our 800 number and our service department will arrange to have a service technician come to your home for repairs. For additional information please refer to the Terms and Conditions tab on this Web Site and look in "Service Deliverables". 3. What repairs are covered under the extended service plan? Coverage is extended for mechanical or electrical breakdown of your product when the manufacturer's warranty expires. Depending upon what your covered item is, there will be specific exclusions for external causes such as physical damage, manufacturer's recall, improper use and installation. For additional information please refer to the Terms & Conditions tab on this Web Site. 4. When does coverage start on my product? Coverage begins on the date you purchased your Husqvarna power equipment, and upon expiration of your original Husqvarna manufacturer's warranty. If you purchase a 36-month extended service plan, coverage for mechanical breakdown begins immediately after the Husqvarna manufacturer's warranty expires and ends 36 months from the date you purchased your power equipment. Please refer to the "Eligibility" tab on this Web Site. 5. Could I incur additional charges above and beyond the original cost of the extended service plan? There is no deductible required to obtain service for your covered product. In the event a repair technician is sent to your home and reports your claim is "not-covered" under the extended service plan, you could be responsible for the cost of the technician's trip charge and diagnostic fee, in addition to the cost to repair your product. Additional time and mileage charges for In-Home repairs outside of 25 contiguous land miles, or the normal service area of the authorized service center, are not covered. You will be responsible for additional mileage charges or pickup and delivery. 6. Will my extended service plan still be in force if I move out of the original service area? If you choose an "In-Home" service plan, service is available in most areas of the Continental United States. Service will be performed in your home; the authorized service center may opt to remove the Covered Product to perform service in-shop and will return the Covered Product upon completion. Additional time and mileage charges for in-home repairs outside of 25 contiguous land miles or the normal service radius of the authorized service center are not covered by this Agreement. In the event a Covered Product must be shipped to a central service facility, we will pay for two-way shipping to the point of repair and thereafter. 7. What should I do if I have a covered claim? If you need service or a repair, please call our Claims Department for the appropriate authorized service center.
You will need to go over your covered item with our service representative. Be sure to thoroughly explain your issue with our service representative. Our service representative will explain your coverage options, and provide any service to help you with your claim. 8. What if I change my mind and want to cancel my extended service plan? You may cancel your extended service plan at any time. Depending upon the length of time you have kept your extended service plan you may be charged for the prorated earned portion of its purchase price. If you have had a claim under your plan, the cost of the claim may also be deducted from any refund amount, depending upon the state you reside in. Please click on the "Terms and Conditions" tab on this Website and select your product to review the cancellation provisions.
If you wish to cancel your extended service plan just click on the "Contact Us" on the website and submit your written request for a refund. We will send your refund check in accordance with the "Return Policy" on your extended service plan. |
